| ok so the girl i like is giving me a "cold shoulder" i am not sure why. she has since the beggining of this term. she was fine last term. she wasnt talking to me too much last term but now she seems to be avoiding talking to me. she hasnt replied to emails and when i call her she always has a reason to leave. im not sure what this means. when i asked her why she was giving me a "cold shoulder" by asking if there was a reason for it she said no in a sorta jpoking way that she does. i asked if it was me she gave me the same kind of nope. i asked if it was to do with her same answer. im not exactly sure what kind of no it was and im wondering what this means. any gilrs think they got an idea? |

Was it out in the open that you liked her? Had you asked her out/made any obvious moves? Because for me, if I know a guy likes me, and he doesn't ask me out/tell me straight out that he likes me, I get bored with being sort of 'strung along'. She might have just gotten bored with waiting for you to make a move, and when that happens, it can often lead to a sort of bitterness toward the guy, hence the cold shouldering.
Otherwise, if she didn't know you liked her, and then found out (through a friend, gossip, you telling her, etc.) she might have been scared off if she doesn't like you the same way. But those are only two possible scenarios, and 'cause I'm not sure if either is anything like your situation, I can't say much really... but those are two scenarios that I know, if it was me, I would probably end up giving the cold shoulder to the guy and avoiding him. Of course, that's just me, and not all girls are alike. I could be totally off track, haha  |

Number 1 thing you've gotta remember... Girls are confusing and the way a girl reacts is unique to her, ie if I reacted the way she did, for example, it could mean something totally different to what she meant by it...
I think alot of what Esther says is true, if not all of it... but, because of the "not allowed to date" situation, maybe it's best to hold off until she's dating age... ie only being friends? IDK... you can never really tell with these things... |

Oh, okay... maybe it's best to just be friends for now. Somtimes if the guy pursues the girl to much,ir can turn the girl away. It was like that for me, the guy was to much and when he kinda of backed off I started to get to know him better and feel more comforable around him. And now we both like eachother..lol.

| It does I guess. Sorry I havrnt been on in a while. Me and her are at least emailing eachotjer. She said she doesn't really talk ti me much because her friebds kinda tease her a bit and shes a liytlr ashamed of me cause I'm childish and silly. I have asjed where she thinjs im like that and im trying to improve myself on my faults. We still email and have some pretty goid convos over email but she soesnt really like talking face to face cause her fruebds tease her a but and she feels embarressed a bit. But im not sure how she feels about it really. Its gerting better but um still uncertain. |

yeah, if she won't talk to you face to face... thats a big warning sign... if a girl really likes you, she shouldn't care what her friends think! serious, i liked a guy for 9 years and all my friends thought he was a moron... and I couldn't care less... I mean there is one exception, if he or she's a bad influence, then what your friends think matters...
don't stop being yourself, never compromise who you are for a girl, never. a girl should take you as you are (i mean we do all need to improve in some ways, but you still need to remain true to yourself...) if she says you're childish or whatever... serious, that's the dumbest excuse i've ever heard... NEVER stop being a young person while you're young. I tried to mature myself faster, and i regret it now, cuz now everyone thinks I'm a young teen and treats me like a child, cuz I never had the oppertunity to be a child while I was a teen... it sucks...
but I do think you should pray about it... thats the best thing, because God has all the right answers, and I can only give advice from my experience etc, and it doesn't give 100% accurate feedback on your situation haha  |

| Thanks. that helps a lot. But in sime ways !bput being childish I think she is correct. She's actually a pretty good person. And it was more about where I was being immature and I agree with her funnily enough. I will always be myself I'm pretty sure she knows tgat. but there are things im wrong on and trying to improve. I want to be me sure. Just less bad more good. Is erite more but its my phone and its horrible on this site. So yeah. |

by the childish thing, I mean... dont try to grow up too fast... even adults have areas where they're a little immature... I mean, I'm 22 and I still go moshpitting with the 15 year olds at rock concerts... haha |

@Drake the last two guys I have liked have both had ADHD haha you really can't get much more immature then that lolz. I don't know it's just something about there hyperness that makes me want to be around them haha. So being immature can be a good thing sometimes

| LOL yes there is lots of hope just be your self and have fun There's a girl out there who will love you for you and will absloutly love your hyperness and your immature moments! I know many many girls including my self who love thoes immature moments. And no offence but this girl sounds kinda jerkish I hung out with this guy I didn't like him but we were just friends and we hung out quite a bit and all my friends made fun of me because none of them liked him at all and thought he was immature and stupid and I hung out with him any way because he was a good friend to me and we had fun So I kinda agree with Jo on the whole big warning sign |

Thanks guys. Just an update. She's stopped enailing ne cause of something and she says she doesn't like me because I am jyst not the kind of guy she /ikes. Little confusing. Now she hardly speaks to me except briefly for some things which is rare at that. And when I do talk to her properly she just awkwardly doesbt talk back to me. She just stays silent till we part unless I talk in qhuch case she replies briefly. I dont know uf ive offended her which i probs did but unsure. She's ignoring my existence basically. Help please!

| I know this probably won't help, but when I ignore a guy, it's because I don't like him, he acts stupid, he is immature in the way he talks to me, etc. I'm not saying that this is how you are or what she's thinking, but this is what goes through my mind when I ignore a guy. I don't mean to be pessemistic, but I think you should find someone else and forget her. I know it's hard to do, but sometimes it is for the best. |

I think the same. If she's doing this, she's trying to be nice about not liking you, or she's just a jerk... there are only 2 options... ok maybe 3, she might just be attention seeking.
I think emotionally and mentally, if you keep standing in limbo with this girl, it's just gonna make things worse, and from my own past experiance, it's better to move on early than to have a harder time later on...
plus, if she's not the one, just imagine how more amazing the one will be when you finally find her |
