I counsel couples to take the Ephesians 4 statement literally. Do not let the sun go down on your anger. The sun goes down some seasons hours before bedtime. This is a precious family time (coupling time) that I believe is to be a time void of any anger, righteous or sinful. Get off those electronic soapboxes (Facebook, blog sites, etc.) where you are weilding your righteous anger at social injustices and enjoy the evening time with your spouse and children. An hour or more of family and relationship building time can mean a much more joyful bedtime and usually a better night’s rest. Revisit unresolved conflict from sundown the day before and you will probably notice that the issue is no longer the hot spot it had been. Good night and sleep tight!
